JOB SUMMARY Responsible for the US (West Coast), Canada and key European markets. The person is highly motivated, organized, and enjoys interacting with guests. This position requires a high degree of self-motivation and the ability to work unsupervised using own initiative. Monitoring and follow-up of Sales Strategies within the mentioned different segments, focusing on MICE and Transient Leisure and Special Corporate. Assisting the Head of External Sales and the Director of Sales in the preparation of sales strategies, budget and business plan. Proactively uncovering new prospects and maximizing conversion of business in line with Hotel ‘s budgetary goals. Ensuring the maintenance and the development of contracted accounts in all mentioned segments. The responsibilities include maintaining relationships with key accounts and sourcing new business opportunities. The Senior Sales Manager is required to solicit group &amp; corporate business through telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, trade show attendance, industry events and site inspections. Conduct Site Inspections and organizes Familiarization Trips whilst assisting with projects and reports. Participate in daily departmental meeting, trainings and other sales related meetings as required. Works with other departments within the hotel and key contacts at Marriott International Global Sales Office locations to provide quality service to customers. Develops and maintains knowledge of market trends, competition set and customers. Onboarding of new talent in the sales department and supervising and educating trainees. ESSENTIAL FUNCIONTS: Under the guidance of the Director of Proactive Sales and Director of Sales, responsible for maximizing Rooms / F&amp;B / Conference and Banqueting business from US (West Coast), Canada and some key European markets. Proactively uncovering new prospects and maximizing conversion of business in line with the Hotel‘s budgetary goals. Looks after Corporate and MICE market segments, including high-end leisure, entertainment and Yieldable contracting. Build long lasting relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings. Attend activities including sales calls, events, FAM trips, trade shows… Responsible for the contracting of business in these markets and achieving the expectations set in the corresponding segments. Responsible of MarRFP program and all contracting process. Develops/maintains knowledge of market trends, competition and customers. Maintain Company Brand Standards within the hotel. Hit all personal &amp; sales team goals and maximize profitability of segment. Assist Director of Proactive Sales and Director of Sales in the creation and implementation of sales plans and strategies that ensure positive results. Produce monthly reports and sales forecasts to analyze current and potential market and sales trends, coordinate activities to increase revenue and market share and monitor performance to ensure actual sales meet or exceed established revenue plan. Create and develop special events and sales blitzes to showcase the hotel to potential clients. Attend local, nation &amp; international trade shows and major market events to promote new business and increase sales opportunities for the hotel. Understand local, national and international corporate market – competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, business trends, supply and demand – and know how to sell against them. Identify improvements to the overall hotel sales performance by working closely with the sales teams and with other departments. Execute and support the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposals, writing contracts, customer correspondence, sending out RFP responses, handling segment databases …) Execute the brand’s customer service standards throughout the sales process. POSITION SUMMARY The Transient Sales Specialist is responsible for maximizing Transient, Premium Leisure, High-End Consortia, Special Corporate, and VIP business across key international markets. This role requires a highly motivated and organized individual who thrives both in independent work and in high-energy client-facing environments. The position oversees developing and maintaining key transient accounts through proactive outreach, digital channel management, luxury consortia engagement and strong partnerships with travel advisors, wholesalers and OTAs. Responsibilities include maximizing conversion, expanding market share, and ensuring excellent client service aligned with the brand’s luxury standards. The role also contributes to onboarding new talent within the sales team and supports the education and supervision of trainees. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Transient Sales &amp; Digital Channels Responsible for the management, optimization, and conversion of business through OTAs including Expedia, Booking.com, Trip.com, ensuring rate integrity, visibility, and competitiveness. Audit and maintain connected wholesaler accounts, ensuring accuracy, parity compliance, and identification of revenue opportunities. Lead proactive GDS OTB (On-the-Books) calls to drive incremental revenue and identify booking trends. Manage Luxury Consortia platforms and portals, ensuring correct representation, engagement, and evergreen content to support transient premium business. Client Engagement &amp; Business Development Conduct presentation calls with luxury travel advisors to promote suites, experiences, offers, and brand differentiators. Organize and lead Insider Tours for key transient accounts, highlighting unique selling points, suites, F&amp;B offerings, and brand experiences. Support and manage Special Corporate (MARRFP) accounts, including RFP processing, contracting, and performance tracking. Proactively identify new business opportunities across luxury leisure, high-end FIT, and corporate transient segments. Anticipate VIP guest needs and deliver exceptional service aligned with brand expectations (“Treat the VIP”). Premium Suites &amp; High-Value Segments Drive sales of Premium Suites, maximizing yield through targeted outreach, advisor engagement and strategic offers. Maintain in-depth knowledge of suite inventory, unique features, competitive landscape, and client positioning. Sales Strategy &amp; Market Intelligence Assist the Director of Proactive Sales and Director of Sales in the creation and implementation of transient sales strategies aligned with budgetary targets. Develop and maintain expertise in market trends, competitive set behavior, customer purchasing patterns, and transient business performance. Produce monthly performance reports, forecasts and analysis for all transient segments, identifying opportunities to increase market share and revenue. Ensure all brand standards, customer service guidelines, and sales processes are executed consistently. Cross-Departmental Collaboration Work closely with Revenue Management, Marketing and Welcome Desk to ensure alignment on promotions, rate strategies and guest experience initiatives. Support operational aspects such as generating proposals, managing contracts, updating segment databases, responding to RFPs and handling client correspondence.
